Track & Trace Premium

Exclusive capabilities to elevate your shipment visibility, built on top of the standard Track & Trace API.

Track & Trace Premium extends the Track & Trace API with additional data sources, cleaner event streams, richer event level detail and AI-generated predictions. It uses the same subscription and event model as the standard API, so no change to your integration flow is required to benefit from most features.

How to activate

Premium is quick to switch on and does not require you to re-integrate. Contact your CargoAi point of contact to enable it for your account and discuss about pricing details.

Extended Source Coverage

Beyond our direct airline API integrations, we have onboarded additional data providers and GHA (Ground Handling Agent) sources to close milestone and completion gaps and improve reliability.
The key distinction from the standard model is how these sources are used:

  • Standard: supplementary sources act as a fallback only.
  • Premium: supplementary sources are queried in parallel with the main sources, which fills milestone gaps far more effectively.

When data conflicts, the main source always wins. It is treated as the highest data quality tier, and this logic also prevents milestone duplication.

A note on coverage expansion. Additional sources can send milestone data for airlines outside our core coverage, expanding the universe of trackable shipments. Coverage for those airlines is partial: events may be captured at origin or at destination, but not necessarily across the full journey. This is distinct from our core airline integrations, which provide end-to-end visibility.

Duplicate Event Filter

As you know in Air Freight tracking, lot of actors can store shipment journey events in airline's system and this often ends with duplicates of the same event captured with short gap in event date.

This filter removes duplicate tracking events per AWB according to your preferred logic, keeping either the first or the last occurrence of each event. The result is a cleaner, ready-to-use event stream.

Configuration is decided by you at the moment of the subscription, allowing you decide based on your needs or your customers will.

Milestone Completeness Visibility Report

Two reports that give you visibility on the milestone data you receive:

  • Weekly milestone completeness report: milestone receipt percentages per carrier to give you an overview of which carriers perfoms better and covers more milestones.
  • Milestone per Prefix report (one-off): available milestones per prefix, to better on board your users and refine their expectations on the milestones provided by carriers.

Split Shipment Indicator

A dedicated field that flags split shipments by cross-checking route and event pieces, so each split can be tracked through its own journey.

field is described in update examples provided in this page

RFS & Aircraft Type Indicator

Adds the aircraft code and body type at event level, across pre-carriage, on-carriage and airport-to-airport legs. Rolling out for the top 20 airlines first.

Track & Trace Predict & Alert Module

AI-powered predictive milestones and proactive risk alerts. See the AI Tracking Predictive & Alerts page for the full field reference.

Predictive Milestones

The AI generates estimated timestamps for key airfreight milestones, from FWB through to DLV, even before the actual events are recorded, and continuously refines them as more data arrives.
Covered milestones: FWB, RCS, MAN, DEP, ARR, RCF, NFD, DLV

Predictions come at two confidence levels:

  • P50: median expected time, ideal for standard ETA calculations.
  • P90: last 10% case of critical expected times in case of late milestone delivery.

Predicted events are marked in the response so you can tell them apart from confirmed events.

Risk Alert Module

Proactive issue management across three levels, so your team knows when to act before a problem escalates:

LevelMeaning
OKShipment progressing as expected. No action required.
WATCHPotential risk detected. Attention and monitoring advised.
AT RISKHigh likelihood of disruption. Immediate action may be required.
