API Reference

Track your booking updates and milestones with our Track & Trace API. Stay informed effortlessly with our tracking subscription service.

Effortlessly monitor the status and measure the carbon footprint of your Air Cargo shipments across a vast network of over 190 airlines with the Track & Trace API.

For those who wish to remain seamlessly informed on important milestones such as departure, arrival, and customs clearance, without missing any updates, we offer a convenient Tracking Subscription endpoint. By subscribing, you'll receive tracking updates directly on your preferred channel, be it through a URL or via email. Additionally, you are able to unsubscribe from updates any time via our Tracking Unsubscription endpoint.

This API endpoint is designed for subscribing to our Track & Trace updates. By providing a URL or email address, you'll seamlessly receive tracking updates directly from our system, eliminating the need to call our API.

Typically, updates are pushed on a regular basis, but the frequency may vary based on factors like the partner or the channel used. You can see the list of all possible tracking events and event codes here.

When making a Tracking Subscription request, you can specify an API URL (sent via POST) or emails addresses (up to five), or both. Please refer to the email template and objects description for further guidance about the update you will receive.

Please note: if you're using our Tracking Subscription by URL feature, it's important to know that we can't take responsibility for your callback URL and its functionality. Everything from the integration to making sure your URL is working properly falls on you and your development team. We're here to support you along the way, but just remember that this part is up to you!

Subscription Lifecycle

  • After a subscription is created, it remains active for 3 weeks.
  • If all milestone updates are not received within this period, the subscription will automatically deactivate.
  • Once deactivated, no further updates will be sent.

Renewing a Subscription

  • If all milestones are not received within the 3-week period, a new subscription must be created to continue receiving updates for another cycle.

Data Dependency

  • Receiving milestone updates is dependent on data availability from airlines.
  • If all required data is not received within the 3-week period due to airlines not providing the data, the subscription will still deactivate as scheduled.
  • To continue receiving updates, a new subscription must be created.

With this API endpoint you can seamlessly stop receiving tracking updates directly from our system by providing the subscribed URL or email address, should you wish to discontinue the service.

Once unsubscribed, you'll no longer receive updates. However, you may resubscribe at any time to resume receiving updates.

Authentication

With the increasing volume of data transmitted over the internet and API connections, data security is more crucial than ever. To strengthen protection, we have introduced an authentication process for Tracking updates.

To activate it, reach out to your CargoCONNECT technical point of contact, and we’ll assist in setting up an authentication process between our systems.

Already integrated and worried about disruptions? No need—authentication is enabled only upon request.
